This pattern, named "Équipage," was created in 1965 by the brand’s beloved designer Françoise de La Perrière. At the centre of the pattern, a ceremonially adorned horse leaps out, inspired by Mr Émile Hermès's personal collection of equestrian literature. The horse is draped in a magnificent saddle cloth and wears exquisite tack, standing proudly. Surrounding it, elegant lace, reins, and rings intertwine to form a classical symmetrical pattern, reminiscent of decorative arts on the covers of vintage books, full of a rich vintage literary charm and equestrian aesthetic.
